If you live somewhere really hot, these shades would be your best option because they keep out light due to their honeycomb structure. It acts like a net for sunlight but still allows air to filter through, unlike solid shades.

This space between individual cells also provides insulation, blocking out a good amount of heat from the sun. If you live somewhere really cold, this might not be your best option since they still have a net – it’ll just let the cold air in as well!

5) Wood Blinds

The standard vertical slat also used for shades can be made from wood if you go with wood blinds. These are good insulators and come in various types of woods so that cool or warm temperatures aren’t too much of an issue. But honestly, this type is pretty outdated nowadays, considering all the other options available to homeowners!
