How to Decorate Your Kitchen Area after the Holidays?

Decorating is one of the most awaited tasks that many families anticipate as the holiday season comes. Homeowners make sure that early before the holidays, they have already decided what theme they are going to incorporate with their designs and what decorating materials they need to achieve it.

If you would visit every house near you during holidays, you would see how much effort every homeowner exerted just to make their home look decorative and glamorous. You would really feel anywhere the spirit of joyful celebration.

Sometimes, household owners align their decorations on the color of the year, either for the current year or the following year, for they believe that it will bring more luck. That is why there is no doubt that many household decorations are inspired this year’s color.

Once the holidays have passed, the time for celebrations and congregations is done, and the season of decorations cleaning will eventually begin. For some homeowners with heavy decorations, it will be a hefty cleaning process that they need to make.

After purging, getting organized, and minimizing their decorations, household owners sometimes feel the dullness of their home, which affects their energy. Just like in the kitchen, some homeowners lack motivation and inspiration to prepare dishes when their kitchen area looks plain and dreary.

Having said that, having a minimal yet revitalizing post-holiday decoration is still essential to do your daily home tasks, like preparing lovely dishes for your family. One of the best ways to innovate and refresh your kitchen is refacing your kitchen cabinets.

Cabinet refacing Fullerton or resurfacing refers to the process of resurfacing a cabinet door or drawer front with a wood or laminate veneer replacement while leaving the cabinet box alone. You can also replace the face frames, cabinet side panels, and mouldings to match.

Specifically, it involves:

  • Taking off the current cabinet doors, drawers, and fronts, but leaving the drawer boxes
  • Coveringthe cabinet boxes’ fronts with natural wood veneer or RTF (Rigid Thermofoil)
  • Using wood veneer or laminate to cover the cabinet sides
  • Putting in new doors and drawer fronts
  • Installing new knobs, drawer pulls, and do other fittings, or using the existing ones if in good condition
  • If desired, add decorations such as glass panels, crown molding, and lighting.
